Westwell to Folkestone
I couldn’t quite work out if I had a good nights sleep or not. I packed everything up and ate some digestives with peanut butter, hoping for better food soon. I headed off into some estate, the signage being poor as usual I got lost a couple of times. After nearly getting attacked by a dog I made it to Wye and a cycle cafe where I had a good coffee and bacon sandwich.

Walking through Wye I was faced with a good climb upto Wye Crown, passing many D of E trekkers. Great view at the top before I headed over the downs. This is now very much like the South Downs Way and I head towards Stowting.

In Stowting I grab some food at the Tiger Inn and then up yet another hill. This takes me up to the Downs again, a bit more blustery this time and rain in the air. Then I head down to Postling.

Uphill again towards a radio transmitter before heading over the downs and downhill into a wood. The trail heads up some very steep slope before heading over fields towards the hills overlooking Folkestone. From then on it is a walk along the top peering down on the Eurostar station before heading off the trail and down to seek the hotel.
